Saturday was a "work day" for the pianists, who said they were drained by the end. They rehearsed duos with pianists Wilanna Kalkhof and Jeannie Yu, violinist Jennifer Startt, cellist Adrien Zitoun, and members of the Prometheus Trio.
Contestants finished up their last workshops about speaking, etiquette, and professionalism. Catherine Kautsky of UW-Madison, a performer, speaker, and writer in great demand finished up her second session with the pianists, giving them tips on communicating with an audience. Lee Dougherty then took over, presenting a complete plan for a performer before, during, and after a competition. She gave insightful advice for an effective professional career.
At the end of the day, the judges for the competition were introduced. Victor Rosenbaum, Nelita True, and Diane Walsh each spoke words of encouragement for the coming days.
